繼灰熊的Ja Morant後，又有球員涉入槍枝問題，快艇Amir Coffey因攜隱藏槍枝被補，他是警方在攔下一輛超速車輛時被查獲。
洛杉磯警局發言人正式Tony Im，當時凌晨2點警方攔下一輛超速車，Coffey是車上的乘客，他因攜帶隱藏槍枝被補，同行有人因持有大麻被捕，目前以10000美元交保。

加州購槍規定並不嚴格，美國公民與綠卡持有者都能買槍，但必須持有隱藏攜槍執照，在能在車上放置槍枝，且不能帶在身上，必須置於後車廂，且槍彈分離。
快艇球團也證實此事，並在聲明中表示：「我們知道Amir 涉入的法律狀況，正在進行調查。」
