MLB（Major League Baseball ，美國職業棒球大聯盟）道奇隊旅美日籍投打「二刀流」大谷翔平（Shohei Ohtani），今天被《美聯社》選為年度最佳男運動員！
大谷在全部87張選票中，贏得20票，同時入圍的有足球梅西（Lionel Messi）、網球喬科維奇（Novak Djokovic），以及NBA（National Basketball Association，美國職業籃球聯賽）球星喬科奇(Nikola Jokic)。
大谷繼2021 年後，生涯第2次贏得《美聯社》年度最佳男運動員，與2度獲獎運動員還包括了職業高爾夫的尼爾森（Byron Nelson）、短跑名將路易士（Carl Lewis）、NBA喬丹（Michael Jordan）、高爾夫名將伍茲（Tiger Woods）和NBA詹姆斯（LeBron James）。
今年是大谷與天使隊合約的最後一年，年初他在世界棒球經典賽，幫助日本隊奪冠，自己拿下MVP（Most Valuable Player，最有價值球員），「二刀流」身手在天使隊也寫下傲人成績，包括0.304打擊率、44轟和95打點，投手也奪下10勝，並贏得美聯MVP頭銜。
今年季後，大谷與道奇隊，簽下世界職業運動史上最高金額的10年、7億美金合約，更讓他的聲勢如日中天。根據《baseball-almanac》統計，包括今日獎項在內，這是大谷本季第12項個人榮譽
