台灣科技大廠鴻海上週四(23日)前往印度拜訪印度總理莫迪(Narendra Modi)，雙方討論印度當地半導體與電動車產業的發展。鴻海計劃將在印度建造半導體廠及電動車製造廠。

根據外媒《印度經濟時報》報導，鴻海董事長劉揚偉上週四與印度總理莫迪會面，討論未來印度電子產業，包括半導體及電動車領域的發展。莫迪也在當天發文表示，很歡迎鴻海在印度當地擴大電子產品製造的計畫，協助發展半導體業及推動電動車生態。而這次劉揚偉與莫迪主要討論半導體廠的建造位置，目前還在選地點中。
早在今年2月，鴻海已經與印度跨國集團Vedanta簽署合約成立合資公司，將在兩年內建造半導體廠。除此之外，鴻海也將協助印度推動電動車產業，在2027年達成印度溫室氣體零排放的目標。
鴻海除了與印度展開合作，在上週六(25日)前往印尼與總統佐科威(Jokowi)會面，討論在印尼當地發展鴻海的事業版圖，也將在印尼推動電動車產業。鴻海打算與Gogoro合作，在印尼建造工廠生產電池和電動車。
