珍妮佛出生時爸爸就已經是世界首富，但她的成長過程卻低調又平凡，無論是外貌或性格都跟大家印像中的名媛大不相同，幾年前，比爾蓋茲就曾宣布自己只會留下非常小部分的財產給小孩，其他將全部都拿去做公益，而珍妮佛也從小就被餐桌上聊慈善的爸媽影響，對兒福相當關心，或許也是因為這樣的耳濡目染，讓她正往成為醫師的路走去。

除了學業上的成就和擁有一顆溫暖的心，珍妮佛最為人所知也最厲害的專長就是馬術，她6歲開始學騎馬，很快就發現自己對馬術的熱情，於是平常管教甚嚴的比爾蓋茲，也願意砸錢買一間位在馬場附近、馬術愛好者聚集區的房子，讓女兒可以好好精進自己的實力。

比爾蓋茲和老婆對於小孩的興趣總是傾力支持，而珍妮佛也曾說，爸媽的信任以及鼓勵他們要充滿求知慾，是興趣發展成專業的基石，她不僅持續投入精力在馬術上，也時常參加比賽，雖然實力還沒有達到最頂尖，國內排名最高也來到第19名！

年初，24歲的珍妮佛和埃及男友納薩（Nayel Nassar）宣布訂婚，他們兩個也是因為馬術而結緣，納薩畢業後專心朝著選手路發展，他即將在明年成為埃及60年來首位參加奧運的馬術選手，志同道合的兩人將攜手共創未來，也會一直在馬術界發光。

馬術這項運動當然需要投入大量資金，但付出的辛苦及汗水也不會少，比爾蓋茲的教育理念值得大家參考，而珍妮佛的自律和熱情也是讓她成功的最大關鍵。
