Traces of cyanide found in the dead body of Channel 8 reporter
The Central Institute of Forensic Science has found a fatal quantity of cyanide in the bloodstream and stomach of TV Channel 8 reporter Nattawut Ponglangka, who died suddenly at his house in the Bang Kruai area of Nonthaburi last week.
In its report to the Nonthaburi police, the forensic institute said that the high level of cyanide detected could cause sudden respiratory failure, resulting in death.
A colleague of the victim at TV Channel 8, Putt Apiwan, said in his Facebook post today that Nattawut’s parents have asked the police to preserve the victim’s body pending further investigation.
Putt also said that the both he and the police will try their best to get to the bottom of this tragedy.
