Thailand vs Cambodia SEA Games football match Dec 10

The date has been set for the SEA Games men’s football match, pitting hosts Thailand against Cambodia. This is a highly-anticipated fixture due to the ongoing feud between the two countries over their shared border. The match will be played on Dec 10that the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok.

Given the current circumstances, matches between athletes from Thailand and Cambodia are always going to capture the public’s attention during the upcoming 33rd SEA Games, due to be held between Dec 9th and 20th in Bangkok, Chon Buri and Songkhla.

By a quirk of the fate, the two quarreling countries have been drawn in Group A of the men’s football competition. Timor Leste is the other team in the group.

Originally, all Group fixtures were to take place at the Tinsulanonda Stadium in Songkhla, with Thai authorities switching the venue to the Rajamangala Stadium at the end of last month, due to safety concerns.

The dates of the Group A matches, though, were only decided yesterday, following a meeting of all broadcasters from 11 participating countries, with Thailand launching their quest to reclaim the title against Timor Leste on Dec 3rd, with kick-off at 7pm.

A week later, the Thai side will square up against the Cambodians in a game that is likely to determine the group winners and advancement to the semifinals. Kick-off will also be at 7pm.
