Unlike many runway shows, the Celine collection this year featured a wide range of ready-to-wear looks that were chic and classic but also bold and stylish
One problem with fashion collections is they can sometimes be too devoted to a central theme. We've sat through mind-numbing runway shows where each look appeared to be just a minor adjustment on the previous one. Celine's autumn/winter 2019 ready-to-wear collection, however, showcased a much wider range of looks, from leather-clad bad boy outfits to preppy professor chic, to the more flamboyant with leopard print or graphic checks. The new Creepers shoes also featured heavily throughout the show. Inspired by the 1950s and British subculture, the shoe can look preppy and formal in shiny calfskin with a side buckle, or bold and stylish in leopard print.
