Streaming platform Vidio is airing 10 popular Korean dramas for free until July 31 under its Vidio Drakor Gratis program.
The World of the Married, Sky Castle, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?, Reply 1988, The Inheritors, Running Man, Search: WWW, Welcome to Waikiki 1, Welcome to Waikiki 2 andAt Eighteen are the series available to the public without the requirement to subscribe to the platform’s premium package, Vidio Premier.
In early May, The World of the Married set a new record for the highest viewership rating in South Korea's cable network history. The series’ latest episode scored an average rating of 24.33 percent in the country, breaking the previous record of 23.78 percent held by the final episode of Sky Castle in 2019.
Reply 1988 follows the everyday lives of five friends and their families living in the same neighborhood, Ssangmun-dong in Northern Seoul in 1988. Its final episode aired on Jan. 16, 2016 and achieved a rating of 19.6 percent, making it the fourth highest-rated Korean drama in cable television history.

Vidio vice president brand marketing Rezki Yanuar said developing technology had influenced the growth of streaming platform users. “One of the trends in entertainment is the public's high interest in watching Korean dramas,” Rezki said in a statement. “With that enthusiasm, we present the Vidio Drakor Gratis program to allow viewers to enjoy selected dramas throughout this month.”
Established in 2014, Vidio offers various shows on its platform, such as animation, original series, sports, music programs and education.
Aside from South Korea, Vidio features series from other Asian countries such as Thailand, China and India. Vidio is available on Play Store and App Store, with premium packages that start from Rp 15,000 for new members. (wir/wng)
