Chinese President Xi Jinping wrapped up a state visit to Tajikistan on Saturday, with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon bidding him farewell at the airport.
The visit marked the elevation of the two countries' ties to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era.
It was Xi's third state visit to Tajikistan. During his first one in 2014, Rahmon also saw Xi off at the airport. "Good brothers walk hand in hand," Rahmon told Xi.
Over the decade, as the two leaders walked hand in hand, China-Tajikistan ties have also progressed step by step. Below are some highlights of interactions between Xi and Rahmon.
