BEIJING, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- China on Friday started soliciting public opinion on a draft guideline for the development of national data infrastructure amid the country's efforts to boost digital economy growth.
The country expects to complete the building of the main structure of the national data infrastructure by 2029, according to the guideline, published by the National Data Administration to solicit public opinions till Dec. 1.
The country plans to build the data infrastructure to support the safe and free flow of data, high-speed data transmission as well as the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and development of emerging industries. It will also boost the development of high-quality computing power supply system and security protection architecture.
The third plenary session of the 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee, which was held in July, made plans to build and put into operation national data infrastructure to promote data sharing.
The country's data infrastructure development is still in the early stage, the guideline wrote, noting that efforts must be made to ensure a better alignment between effective government and efficient market, encourage innovation and push forward the large-scale deployment and systematic application of technologies. ■
