Premier League club Kitchee are facing a second Covid-19 case after a staff member tested positive in preliminary screening on Monday.
This came after the staff's spouse was confirmed over the weekend to be infected. A statement from the club on Tuesday morning said the staff member, believed to be one of their coaches, took an emergency test on Monday and the result was positive.
"The staff took the Covid-19 test on March 30 and was diagnosed as preliminary positive," the statement said. "According to instructions from the Department of Health, he is required to be self-quarantined at home before being admitted to hospital."

After the staff's wife was confirmed on Sunday, all first team members and staff from the Jockey Club Kitchee Centre had to visit physicians and were given test kits on the virus. They are in quarantine at home, with the results expected on Wednesday.
The club first revealed that a staff's spouse returned from overseas on March 18 and he failed to report it to the club, or put himself in quarantine at home as required by club rules.
She became a Covid-19 confirmed case on Sunday. The Kitchee training centre in Shek Mun was completely locked down for deep cleansing and disinfection on Monday.
