KATHMANDU, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- People observe the Bala Chaturdashi festival on the premises of Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Hindu devotees celebrate the festival in memory of departed family members by lighting oil lamps a whole night and scattering seven types of grains in the early morning at the temple.
