60"FlyOverChina | Rich solar resources in Hami attracts PV and solar thermal companies

HAMI, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- With vast Gobi desert landscapes and flat terrain, Hami of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region boasts over 3,000 annual sunshine hours, ranking among the top in China for solar resources. Leveraging its natural endowments, Hami has attracted photovoltaic and solar thermal power companies to develop solar projects.
