KATHMANDU, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Kumari Puja is celebrated through the ceremonious worship of young girls as manifestations of the divine female energy or devi in Asian religious traditions in Nepal.

The mass worship of Goddess Kumari is held each year on the occasion of the Indra Jatra Festival which kicked off on Sept. 15 this year.
