Takashi Murakami and NewJeans launch collaboration

Takashi Murakami is collaborating with NewJeans on newly created characters, special artwork and a range of merchandise in celebration of the NewJeans Bunnies Camp 2024 at Tokyo Dome. The collection is available at the NewJeans ‘Supernatural’ pop-up shop in Shibuya, Tokyo and will run from June 26 to July 15.

Dior celebrated its fall 2024 collection—inspired by Marlene Dietrich—in Taipei on June 25. Celebrities including Dior ambassador Jay Chou and actors Jiwon Kim, Jasper Liu, Annie Chen, Gingle Wang and Charlize Lamb were in attendance.

Swiss sportswear brand On will open its first flagship location in Hong Kong in Central on July 10. It has been making waves in the fashion industry recently, having launched a collaboration with luxury line Loewe, Korean label Post Archive Fashion and has announced long-term partnerships with actress Zendaya and singer FKA Twigs.

Luxury label Loewe has teamed up with Bridgerton actor Jonathan Bailey to release a special edition T-shirt with the slogan Drink Your Milk—inspired by scenes from Bailey’s recent series Fellow Travelers, based on the 2007 novel by Thomas Mallon—to celebrate the launch of his new LGBTQ+ foundation, The Shameless Fund. For every T-shirt sold, Loewe will donate to the foundation, which is dedicated to forging a world where every LGBTQ+ person can live authentically, and will be available to purchase from June 27.

Rahul Mishra stuns with aura-inspired collection at Haute Couture Week

Indian designer Rahul Mishra drew inspiration from the concept of auras—composed of body, mind and soul—for his latest haute couture collection which he showed in Paris this week. On his Instagram page, he shared that “the collection becomes an attempt to articulate, through couture clothing, how the said omnipresent aura may interact with a living body and how [it] becomes a vessel for a part of this energy.”

MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon unveiled a sneaker collection, reinventing the X-Alp and XT-4 designs. The former was adapted for the MM6 Maison Margiela Spring-Summer 2024 collection, and the latter—a signature model—was redesigned as an all-gender slipper for the streets.

Prada introduces a new perfume in its Les Infusions de Prada fragrance collection, Infusion de Gingembre. It contains ginger, citrus and woody notes to create an invigorating scent for the summer and beyond.

IWC Schaffhausen gets Guinness World Record for most precise lunar phase watch

The IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Eternal Calendar watch now holds the Guinness World Records title for the world’s most precise wristwatch. It has a theoretical deviation of just one day in 45,361,055 years, beating the previous world record by more than 43 million years which was made possible by a new reduction gear train with three intermediate wheels, reducing one calendar month as precisely as possible to the duration of one complete lunar cycle.
