Modern Asian rooftop hotspot Cruise Restaurant & Bar is launching a limited-edition menu inspired by the unique and mouthwatering culinary heritage of Bangkok’s famed Chinatown. Designed by Cruise’s chef de cuisine, Thai native Adisak Choksamritphon, the Chinatown Bangkok Feed Me! tasting menu features a host of delectable dishes that offer an elevated spin on the district’s distinctive street food staples that bring together Thai and Chinese gastronomic influences.
The menu starts with the khao kriep pak mor, a steamed crab meat rice roll served with spicy basil dressing, and moo grob, crispy pork belly served with mango chutney and aubergine relish for a Thai-style twist. Main courses include mee kati, a prawn tamarind curry; nuer toon, which features braised beef karubi and crispy lava egg in lemongrass and five spice sauce; and the pla kapong pae sa, a perfectly steamed seabass with pickled plum and lemongrass. The set menu includes signature sides like wok-fried morning glory and pa thong ko, a spiral churro served with pandan custard and pineapple coconut ice cream, for dessert.
Cruise’s talented mixologists have also created three special cocktails to match the theme: the Chinese Bellini made with baijiu, prosecco, white tea, peach and lime; a flavourful rum-based clarified Thai Milk Tea Punch; and a refreshing Spiced Mai Thai mixed with rum, Cointreau, lime and pineapple. The Chinatown Bangkok Feed Me! dinner tasting menu and special cocktails are available from May 17 to June 7, 2024. The dinner tasting menu is priced at just HK$580 per person, with a minimum of two guests per table, and the cocktails are priced at HK$118 per drink.
