HONG KONG, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese New Year is a time of good fortune, and Asian countries are welcoming the festive season with auspicious decorations and festivities.

The hard-working Chinese people celebrate the festival by reuniting with their families, saying goodbye to the past, and embracing a new year of good luck and good health.

Inscribed in 2024 on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the Chinese New Year invites people around the world to experience its inclusive and festive spirit.

The festival starts on Jan. 29 this year.
