Guests were invited to explore the nuances of champagne—its delicate flavours and aromas, as well as the heritage and craft behind each label. Master of Wine Sarah Heller hosted with ease, blending her expert insights with a relaxed charm that struck the perfect balance for seasoned aficionados and curious newcomers alike. The tasting showcased 25 select labels, served in Lucaris crystal glassware, ranging from vintage blends to crisp Blanc de Blancs and lively non-vintage varieties, each thoughtfully paired with dishes from private member club The Refinery.

The Champagne RSRV tasting was another highlight, whisking guests on a sensory journey to the French city of Reims. Led by brand ambassador Eliane Lattouf, the session delved into the rich legacy of Maison Mumm, which has held the honour of being the official supplier to British royalty since 1904. The tasting was complemented by a selection of bites from contemporary Chinese restaurant Yung’s Bistro.

An array of delicacies from Taikoo Place’s food establishments, including Ask for Alonzo, Alchemy Origin, Sage & Salt and Yung’s Bistro provided the perfect complement to the champagne. A diverse range of food stations added further indulgence, with artisanal cheese and ham from Olivier Pacific, alongside luxurious caviar and smoked salmon courtesy of Plantin Kaviari by Gourmet en Provence.

The festival was abuzz with live entertainment, including a captivating contemporary dance performance choreographed by Hong Kong-based Shum Pui Yung. Nate Wong, who has performed at some of the world’s best jazz music festivals, and his band provided the perfect soundtrack that had everyone tapping their feet. Mini ring toss and cornhole games also provided a playful touch to the festivities.
