KATHMANDU, May 24 (Xinhua) -- People gather at Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal, to offer prayers and celebrate Buddha Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Lord Buddha. This significant day commemorates Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and passing, observed on the full moon day of the Nepali month of Baishakh.
