ISLAMABAD, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani people celebrated the 78th Independence Day with traditional zeal and fervor across the country.
The celebration was held on Aug. 14 to commemorate the day when the country was declared an independent and sovereign state after a long struggle against British colonial rule in 1947.
