Google Authenticator 推出新功能 可與 Google 帳號同步 OTP 密碼

多年未有重大更新的兩步驟身份驗證程式 Google Authenticator，近日作出了一次相當重要的更新，新版本容許用戶將程式產生的單次使用密碼（OTP）備份到 Google 帳號。Google 聲稱新安排可以避免用戶在手機被盜或遺失後，無法再登入 Google Authenticator 網站或服務。

在 2010 年推出的 Google Authenticator，現時有 Android 和 iOS 版本，當用戶訪問支援 Google Authenticator 的網站或服務時，只要打開 Google Authenticator 程式就會見到由系統產生的 6 至 8 位數字單次使用密碼，作為基本用戶密碼以外的第二階段驗證，提升帳號登入時的保安。

部份曾經遺失手機的 Google Authenticator 用戶都可能遇過，因為無法取得儲存在手機的單次使用密碼，一時間無法登入相關服務。用戶在更新 Google Authenticator 程式後登入個人 Google 帳號，就可以使用備份到 Google 帳號的新功能。值得一提的是，更新後的 Google Authenticator 亦會換上全新的星形圖示。
