XI'AN, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- 38-year-old Philippe Emmanuel Couste, a French national, realized his dream in China by becoming an inheritor of centuries-old traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

With a strong interest and curiosity for TCM, he came to China as an exchange student in 2007 and pursued a master's degree in the ancient city of Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

15 years on, that decision changed his life. Couste met his wife in China during his university days. Together, they established a skin medical museum in 2019 in Xi'an. The museum has received tens of thousands of visitors.

TCM is gaining popularity in many parts of the world. So far, it has been applied in 196 countries and regions. Couste said it is his lifelong pursuit to let more people in the world understand TCM and help treat patients.
