Kylie Jenner and Doja Cat may have turned heads at the Schiaparelli show, but they were hardly the only style stars of Paris Couture Fashion Week. K-pop idols, Hollywood actresses and more Asian celebrities stood out on the streets of Paris this season, delivering elegance and flamboyance in equal measure.
At Valentino’s haute couture spring/summer 2023 presentation, BTS’ Suga ventured beyond his wardrobe of laid-back, hip-hop-inspired outfits and donned a sophisticated tan suit from the Italian fashion brand—a refreshing new look for the rapper and now Valentino ambassador. At Chanel, Bigbang’s G-Dragon once again put a twist on the maison’s iconic tweed jackets, opting for one embroidered with flowers to complete his monochromatic suit. He was in complete contrast to fellow South Korean star Kim Go-Eun, who showed up in a pink gingham jumpsuit.
Michelle Yeoh continued her winning style streak at the Giorgio Armani show. Rubbing shoulders with Anna Wintour and Hollywood director Baz Luhrmann on the front row, the Everything Everywhere All At Once star was the picture of glamour in a sequin blazer. Bridgerton actress Charithra Chandran, meanwhile, channelled French elegance at the Dior presentation wearing the brand’s black knit jacket and tulle skirt.
The most Instagram-worthy looks, however, went to the fashion girls, including Singapore fashion influencer Yoyo Cao, Bling Empire’s Tina Leung and Tatler Singapore cover star Christine Chiu.
