LALITPUR, Nepal, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Lalitpur is a new metropolitan city of the Himalayan country of Nepal, where old traditions remain an important part of people's daily life.

Many traditional festivals are celebrated every year in the city located in the south-central part of Kathmandu Valley, and most recently local residents celebrated the festivals of Naga Panchami, Gunla and Gathan Mugah.
