BEIJING, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Domestic teen comedy "Be My Friend" continued to lead the box office on the Chinese mainland on Friday for the sixth day with a daily earning of 6.718 million yuan (about 944,120 U.S. dollars), data showed.
The film tells the story of a teenage girl who travels back in time to understand her single mother's past. As of Friday, it had grossed 126 million yuan after seven days in release, according to the China Movie Data Information Network.
It was closely followed by the domestic crime comedy "Walk the Line," which raked in box office sales of 6.461 million yuan on the same day.
"Crisis Negotiators," a drama set in Hong Kong and a remake of the U.S. film "The Negotiator," came in third on Friday, taking in 5.48 million yuan.
The total box office revenue on the Chinese mainland stood at 39.27 million yuan on Friday. ■
