Baci Serves Up Italian Soul Food Inspired by Chef Alessandro Persico’s Roots

Baci recently celebrated an exuberant win as one of the Top 12 pizzerias in the Asia-Pacific by the anonymously rated 50 Top Pizza 2022 Awards, where the creative executive chef Alessandro Persico allows the produce to shine while maintaining a top-notch pizza base that offers beautiful balance in char and bite.

Pizza flavours run the gamut of classics such as the margherita to the signature Pizza Baci, which features Crescenza cheese, Taggiasca olives, and pesto sauce, all of which share the same hometown of Liguria as chef Alessandro. There’s also the Testarossa, a pizza starring Mortadella, pistachio, aged balsamic vinegar from Modena, and topped with parmesan flakes—controversial, yet satisfying.

For a colourful dose of carbs, the gorgeous pink I Ravioli di Casa Nostra roasted beetroot ravioli is complemented with truffle goat cheese and salsa verde for a twist on a time-honoured flavour combination. The Angeli di Mare uplifts the classic seafood angel hair pasta dish with a shot of grappa—following in the footsteps of the traditional lobster bisque recipe for a rounded and slightly sweetened flavour profile.

Paired with the lively atmosphere of its central location in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong, Baci makes for a great place for dinner and drinks after work. Start with a happy hour tipple (available daily from 3-8pm) and be sure to kick on from there.
