This Repulse Bay villa offers breathtaking mountain views, serene sea vistas and ample living space spanning 2,000 square feet. The owners' affinity for sophisticated living is reflected in the luxurious, bespoke design crafted by Apollo Design HK.
Ian Ngai, Chief Designer of Apollo Design HK stated, "We drew inspiration from the refined experiences of five-star hotels, using earthy colours and mixing in high-end materials like marble and steel to create a sense of luxury and sophistication."
Since both homeowners have a love for art and holiday-themed décor, along with a passion for collecting distinctive furnishings, the interior design had to be adaptable to accommodate future additions while maintaining the overall aesthetic.
Ian Ngai shared that creating an artistic atmosphere in the space was a top priority. "We made sure to coordinate the marble and wallpaper patterns to make everything flow together smoothly," he said. "The colour scheme is mainly dark wood tones mixed with grey to give off an elegant vibe. We used different shades of grey on the walls and floors to bring some depth and layers to the overall design."
The original layout of 4 rooms has been redesigned into a 3-room layout, consisting of two en-suite bedrooms and a study. With Feng Shui principles in mind, the guest bathroom was moved from its original position to avoid occupying the central area of the interior. The new guest bathroom features a chic and elegant design with a mix of light and dark marble tiles.
Marble plays a significant role in both the living room and dining room. The TV wall in the living room and the decorative wall in the dining room both showcase a mosaic effect, reminiscent of art pieces. The TV wall beautifully complements the sleek and stylish design of the B&O TV and BEOLAB 90 floor-standing speaker combination, creating a truly exceptional ambiance.
The master suite also features earth tones as the main theme, with the same style of wallpaper on the bed headboard and walls as the special color wall in the living room. In addition, a marble TV stand is designed to hold a B&O TV and audio combination, enhancing the space with a more noble and generous style.
In the master bathroom, frosted glass partitions are used in place of traditional wall tiles, resulting in a bright and airy space that significantly enhances the feeling of openness. The walls and floors are adorned with marble and accented with metallic elements, creating a luxurious atmosphere reminiscent of a high-end hotel.
