The 24th edition of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), often referred to as the Oscars of watchmaking, has just announced its 90 finalists in 15 categories. This year, 273 timepieces were submitted for consideration in this prestigious competition.
All 90 watches will embark on a world tour before the winners are announced on November 13, 2024, in Geneva. The first stop is Hong Kong (September 28 to 30) at Christie's headquarters in The Henderson before moving to Ho Chi Minh (October 9 to 11) in Saigon Opera House in partnership with The Hour Glass. It will visit New York (October 18 to 21) before returning to Geneva (October 30 to November 17). In an effort to promote the appreciation of watchmaking, these exhibitions will be complemented by talks, debates, and workshops.
