A newfound love for cooking leads the homeowners to remodel their 2,400-sq.ft. duplex apartment in Tsuen Wan, with a larger-than-life kitchen transformation.
Having lived in the 2,400-sq.ft. duplex apartment at The Westminster Terrace for eights years, a couple wants to revamp their living space to address their newfound penchant for home cooking. A larger, more fully-equipped kitchen is top of the mind when they approach RAZ Interiors. Making sure the cooking fumes won’t linger in the rest of the house is also part of the brief.
“Although we open up the ground floor to create a modern communal space, the kitchen is enclosed with a semi-transparent sliding glass door,” says the design team. “While providing barrier between the cooking and living area, the glass door brings natural light in and serves as a unique focal point between the two areas.”
The display space doubles as an art installation and a compelling showcase for the homeowners’ collection. Upstairs, three bedrooms are turned into one luxurious master suite, which has a bedroom, en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet, study and family relaxation area. What would have been a fourth bedroom is now a multifunctional en-suite guest room, storage and a play area for the couple’s two dogs.
