英國一名11歲女孩 8月12日在倫敦市中心李斯特廣場（Leicester Square）被刺傷，被捕32歲男子 8月13日出庭，被控謀殺未遂及持有刀具。
被捕男子 Ioan Pintaru是羅馬尼亞公民，在英國沒有固定地址。檢察官在庭上表示，Ioan Pintaru 事發時，突然走近與母親正在李斯特廣場遊覽的11歲女童，鎖住她的頭部，然後在她身上連刺 8 刀。
女童送院後，發現其臉部、肩膀、手腕和頸部都受傷。目前仍在醫院留醫，或需要接受整型手術。
Ioan Pintaru 在庭上透過翻譯確認他的姓名、出生日期，及聽取檢察官宣讀其控罪。西敏市裁判司署（Westminster Magistrates' Court）將他還柙後審，並將於 9月10日在中央刑事法院接受審訊。
事發於 8月12日11點30左右，Ioan Pintaru 在李斯特廣場刺傷女童，附近一間茶店的保安阿卜杜拉（Abdullah）聽到尖叫聲後，阻止刀手繼續施襲，並將他制服。警方到場後，拘捕 Ioan Pintaru，並相信他與事件中的兩母女並不認識。
