China's recent announcement of visa-free policy "has a definite message that China thinks along the lines of connectivity," said Grandpierre Attila, research president of the Budapest Center for Long-term Sustainability.
The Hungarian scholar made the remarks after landing in southwest China's Sichuan province on Sunday for a glimpse of the "childlike, cute and charming" giant pandas.
China has decided to apply the visa-free policy to nine more countries on a trial basis, a foreign ministry spokesperson said on November 22 at a daily press briefing.
