A mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) heading to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (NPP) has arrived in Zaporizhzhia city in southern Ukraine, Ukraine's state-run nuclear energy operator Energoatom said Wednesday.
The Zaporizhzhia NPP, one of Europe's largest nuclear power plants, is located in Energodar city, some 125 km southwest of Zaporizhzhia.
The plant has been controlled by Russian forces since early March, but its Ukrainian staff has continued to operate it. In recent weeks, Ukraine and Russia have traded accusations of strikes on the facility.
