ZHENGZHOU, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- As a major grain-producing area in China, Henan Province has actively explored the construction of smart farmlands.
In 2022, the local authorities of Zhechuan County in Henan Province invested in the construction of a 1,000 mu (about 16.5 acres) smart farmland project to apply 5G and IoT technologies to boost agricultural production. Farmers can remote control irrigation and fertilization by app without going to the field themselves.
