LHASA, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- The per capita disposable income of rural residents in Xizang Autonomous Region, southwest China, rose to 19,924 yuan (about 2,803 U.S. dollars) in 2023, the local authority said on Thursday.
According to the regional department of agriculture and rural affairs, this represents a year-on-year increase of 9.4 percent, 1.7 percentage points higher than the national average.

"The region has introduced a series of measures to raise the income of urban and rural residents, with the quarterly growth rate of per capita disposable income of rural residents consistently ranking among the top in the country," said Zhang Haibo, head of the department.■
