Special Olympic event is a platform for persons with intellectual disabilities to showcase their talents. July 20th this year is the 16th National Special Olympic Day in China. Prior to the date, a Special Olympic team with 13 persons with intellectual disabilities has begun its routine training in northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
Shaanxi is the only province that held the National Special Olympic Games twice in west China. The two events left a great deal of Special Olympics legacy in the province, encouraging more and more intellectually impaired persons to participate in the Special Olympics events, which helped them make more friends while embracing fruitful life.
