Austrian Alpine skiers continued their strong showing at the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games, while Dutch speed skater Angel Daleman snatched her third gold.

GANGNEUNG, South Korea, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Austria demonstrated its Alpine skiing dominance with a gold medal in the mixed team parallel event at the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games here on Friday.

Maja Waroschitz and Florian Neumayer defeated Sweden in the mixed team parallel big final that wrapped up the Alpine skiing competition.

It was the European nation's second mixed team title in Winter Youth Olympic history, following their first gold in 2012.

With the victory, Waroschitz became a triple gold medalist after having won the women's Alpine combined and slalom titles.

Austrian Alpine skiers clinched two more silvers in the men's and women's Super-G events, along with the men's giant slalom bronze.

The Netherlands and Germany showed dominance in the speed skating mass start events that concluded the speed skating competition.
