Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) brands are becoming increasingly popular in Jordanian vehicle markets.

Their cost-effective, trend-setting car design, and cutting-edge technology in electric power have contributed to a greener future that Jordan is seeking.

Yehya Shanti, a sales manager of Changan vehicles, says the Chinese brand had been a hit since it was introduced into Jordanian market.

Shanti's company started the dealership of Changan in 2013. Now it has expanded to have 4 branches across the kingdom.

Shanti expressed his strong confidence in Chinese new energy vehicles and the bright prospect of the industry in Jordan.

Mohammad Tarawneh, a car owner, said he plans to replace his gasoline-powered car with a Chinese-brand new energy vehicle for its strong performance and energy-saving advantages.

Correspondingly, figures released in early August by the Jordan Free Zone Investor Commission indicated that clearance of electric vehicles in Jordan increased by 227 percent in the first seven months of 2022 compared with the same period in 2021.
