ISLAMABAD, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Streets in Pakistan's capital Islamabad are blanketed in beautiful violet haze as the city's jacarandas are in full bloom.

The sight of the mesmerizing feathery clusters of jacaranda blossoms are a feast for the eyes, bringing a sense of serenity for local residents who get to enjoy these botanical wonders with their family and friends.

A subtropical plant, the jacaranda tree is originated from Brazil and usually bursts into purple flowers in spring and summer.
