Wong Wing-Keung, executive Chinese hef of Man Wah at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, and his master Theresa Yiu, better known as Dashije, have come together this Lunar New Year to present a limited-edition aged tangerine peel turnip cake.

With a mission to deepen the appreciation of Cantonese gastronomy, the two Chinese culinary masters incorporated 15-year-old dried tangerine peels from Xinhui District in Jiangmen, China, into the recipe to add a tangy twist to an age-old tradition. Using premium ingredients including Dashijie branded meat sausage with aged tangerine peel, this festive delicacy has elevated the festive food to another level. Pan-fried until golden, each bite bursts with a subtly sweet flavour and is packed full of refined aroma.

Priced at HK$468, the Man Wah x Dashijie Aged Tangerine Peel Turnip Cake is available at The Mandarin Cake Shop or the hotel’s online shop. Order before 28 January 2022 for delivery or pick-up from 7 January until 6 February 2022.
