SANAA, July 16 (Xinhua) -- Many Yemenis have chosen to spend their holiday at Rock Palace, a historic castle near Sanaa, Yemen's capital.

Constructed in the 1920s, the Dar al-Hajar, or "Rock Palace," is a five-story royal palace in Wadi Dhar, about 15 km from Sanaa.

Seen from the ground, the palace appears to grow out of the rocks on which it is built and has a distinctive painting on its windows and edges.
