BEIJING, April 23 (Xinhua) -- The Fujian coast guard on Wednesday conducted a routine law enforcement patrol in the waters near Kinmen in accordance with the law, said Zhu Anqing, a spokesperson for the East China Sea Bureau of the China Coast Guard.
Since the beginning of April, the Fujian coast guard has stepped up its patrols in the area, strengthening maritime control, Zhu said.

These operations aim to safeguard the legitimate rights, interests and safety of Chinese people in the fishing industry, including those from Taiwan, while ensuring the order of navigation and operations in the Xiamen-Kinmen waters. ■
