Roganic Hong Kong, celebrated for its inventive farm-to-table approach and sustainable ethos, is gearing up for a stylish comeback this December, unveiling its new home at Lee Garden One in Causeway Bay. Early December will see reservations open for an exclusive preview, with a full public launch planned for January 2025.

For those who’ve followed Simon Rogan’s culinary journey, this isn’t just a new location—it’s a reimagined experience, bringing with it a more relaxed yet meticulously crafted style of dining.

Roganic’s team, led by executive chef Oli Marlow, head chef Adam Catterall, and sous chef Mark Catchpole, is turning away from the ultra-structured tasting menu in favour of a sharing-style set menu, a more practical choice for modern diners.

This new sharing format isn’t just about convenience; it allows diners to shape their meal, choosing from seasonal mains that champion ingredients from within a 160km radius, prioritising quality, seasonality and regenerative farming practices. The menu will also showcase new recipes and a strong commitment to zero waste.

Simon Rogan has always been one for meaningful choices, so the evolution feels natural, letting guests create their own pace and savour a refined but unpretentious dining experience. Prices for the full experience will be revealed as the opening date nears, with a soft launch kicking off in mid-December and the official unveiling in January.

Stepping into the new Roganic will reveal a space designed with purpose. Teaming up with the eco-conscious team at Hong Kong’s Timberbank, the restaurant has kitted out the interior with reclaimed marble, locally sourced wood, and reupholstered seating from its former space. It’s a décor that doesn’t shout about sustainability but embodies it, inviting diners into an atmosphere that’s as thoughtfully composed as the food on the plate.

For a limited preview period, Roganic has assembled a team from Rogan’s UK outposts. Graeme Cumine, restaurant manager from the three-Michelin-starred L’Enclume in Cartmel, is on board, bringing a polished and personable level of service. Sommelier Valentin Mouillard, who earned the 2024 Michelin Sommelier Award, will oversee a drinks list thoughtfully suited to the new sharing format—think large-format bottles for the table, and a curated list of low- and no-alcohol options that cater to local tastes.

So, what can diners expect from Roganic 2.0? A playful yet intentional dining experience, set against a chic, eco-savvy backdrop. Reservations for the preview open in early December, while January will see Roganic officially reenter the Hong Kong dining scene, ready to deliver on its promise of culinary innovation without the fuss. It’s Roganic, but perhaps not quite as you knew it—expect a relaxed but refined experience that lets the ingredients, space and service do the talking. Watch this space for the exclusive first look at the new restaurant in January 2025.
