Dare to Bloom
It has been over 20 years since Victoire de Castellane arrived at Dior to create fine jewellery for the luxury fashion house and, this year, the artistic director has drawn inspiration from Christian Dior’s favourite flower, the rose. The resulting 116-piece high jewellery collection, titled Dior Rose, was unveiled in Chengdu during a gala dinner earlier this year, and consists of four chapters that embody different interpretations of the iconic flower: the romantic rose, the stained-glass rose, the futuristic rose and the abstract couture rose.
Snake Eyes
Frédéric Boucheron, founder of French jewellery maison Boucheron, first thought up the Serpent Bohème collection in 1888 for his beloved wife Gabrielle as a symbol of protection. The romantic line endures to this day and, whether you prefer pendant earrings set with slivers of carnelian or standout rings carved out of solid gold, Serpent Bohème continues to be the perfect token of love for that special someone.

Chain Reaction
Hong Kong-based Melinda Zeman’s new jewellery brand Boochier is defined by its fun and colourful pieces, which range from chunky chain necklaces and diamond-mounted signet rings to maximalist ear cuffs. “I wanted to launch a brand that bridged East and West to reflect who I am as a person. The brand needed to have an element of surprise, too, as this is often the first reaction people have when they meet me. I don’t look Asian on the outside, but I speak fluent Chinese and was raised in a Chinese home,” the mother of four, who is half-Chinese, half-Ghanaian, tells Tatler.
Light Therapy
Since 1874, Piaget has been crafting luxury jewellery and, for 2021, the maison continues to explore the play of light across different landscapes. For the brand’s newest high jewellery collection, which is aptly called Extraordinary Lights, 42 breathtaking pieces recall Piaget’s flamboyant style of the 1960s. Cascades of pink and purple sapphires sit within sculpted rock crystal and alongside forest-green tourmalines.

Paraiba tourmalines and white diamonds are carefully arranged into pretty petals, which surround a spectacular rubellite that weights almost 19 carats.

Natural Wonder
The carefully considered design of Gübelin’s newly unveiled Cascading Springs cocktail ring is inspired by the powerful waterfalls that crash into the lush tropical forests and rolling green valleys of Colombia. For added drama, the central stone—a cushion-cut emerald weighing 8.68 carats—is elevated by a pair of pear-cut emeralds, which sit within a river of baguette- and brilliant-cut white diamonds.
