Since the launch of his eponymous brand in 1994, Giuseppe Zanotti has infused his love for music with sculptural footwear and accessories marked by dazzling details fit for those that embrace the spotlight. At Milan Fashion Week, the Italian designer took this legacy to new heights at his fall-winter 2025 presentation.

While his main line put a 1990s minimalist spin on his go-to embellished designs, Zanotti also teased another exciting collaboration with a trailblazer in music. This time, meteoric Hong Kong entertainer Anson Lo joins the ranks of Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Zayn Malik and Mary J. Blige by teaming up with the legendary shoe maker for an upcoming capsule collection.

There’s no denying Lo’s meteoric rise as part of Hong Kong’s very own boy band Mirror. It just so happens that he also found a fan in Zanotti who first encountered the blossoming entertainer last year during the brand’s 30th anniversary celebration in the city. “What drew me to Anson is his determination,” Zanotti said in an official brand statement. “I totally embrace his motto Go hard or go home; he knows what he wants and he goes for it. That’s exactly the passion you need to succeed in this world.”

While we will have to wait till March 27, 2025, for the official look-and-feel of the collection to be unveiled, we can expect Lo to reimagine two unisex footwear styles emblematic to the Giuseppe Zanotti universe. The capsule will also feature a functional tote bag.

“I was so excited and honoured when Mr Zanotti invited me to work together on this collection. It allowed me to express myself through fashion and connect with my fans in a new way,” said Lo. “I am incredibly proud of the final pieces we created, as they truly capture my spirit and convey a special meaning to commemorate my 30th birthday for years to come.”

Giuseppe for Anson Lo will debut online and in physical stores on April 9, 2025.

Gold rush

Zanotti’s fall-winter 2025 collection was a return to roots. Titled Back to Myself, the season saw footwear and accessories for women that depicted his beloved maximalist design codes stripped back in a way that echoes 1990s minimalism.

Gold accents were an unmissable highlight. While a Mary Jane iteration of the classic Brendha slingback sports a classy hammered-effect toe cap, the sleek geometric silhouette of the Mya heel is accentuated by an unmissable knurled heel that drips in the gold tone.

What is a Giuseppe Zanotti collection without some bling? This season, Zanotti’s signature dazzling embellishments first shine on the Intriigo heel. Suited for those who favour a subtle statement, the shoe silhouette features a pavé jewel toe that is luxuriously set with rows of baguette-cut crystals.

On the flip side, the GZ Dafne—a contemporary take on the Italian brand’s emblematic sculptural Venere sandal—replaces its predecessor’s metallic snake detail with a crystal pavé choker that elegantly wraps the foot to promote both comfort and style.

Introduction of the 50mm heel

There’s no bigger statement than a sky high 90 or 105mm stiletto, but let’s face it: everyday life demands comfort. Zanotti’s proposition? A new range of 50mm offerings that blend functional ballerina flats with quaint kitten heels. Thanks to the silhouette’s pointed toe, the design is sure to still flatter one's form.

Ode to the female form

According to Zanotti, the details of the Eve clutch takes inspiration from the natural curves of the female body. Made from supple nappa leather, the black geometric design features a detachable chain shoulder strap as well as an opulent hammered metal clasp. Further echoing the decadence of the Giuseppe Zanotti fall-winter 2025 collection, the clutch also comes in a lapis lazuli hued snakeskin.
