The Henderson is a modern architectural icon. Designed by acclaimed studio Zaha Hadid Architects, it’s a dazzling ambitious new building that showcases Hong Kong’s ambition. Just as The Henderson has redefined architectural standards, the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association (HKFDA) has shaped Hong Kong’s fashion identity, bringing together the city’s finest creative minds and establishing itself as a cornerstone of its fashion industry. So it was only fitting that The Henderson served as the backdrop for the association’s 40th-anniversary celebration.

The show featured the groundbreaking work of four designers who embody the diverse, forward-thinking nature of contemporary couture: Charles de Vilmorin from France, Mohamed Benchellal from the Netherlands, Cheney Chan from Mainland China and Hong Kong’s very own Kay Kwok. Each designer’s collection demonstrated a blend of craftsmanship, creativity and sustainability. The evening’s displays, which included both dynamic presentations and static exhibitions, highlighted the evolving nature of haute couture. This event not only celebrated the artistry of couture but also served as an acknowledgment of the designers’ unwavering commitment to their craft.

Adding to the glamour were some of Hong Kong’s most beloved celebrities and international fashion icons. The event was graced by local luminaries such as Karen Mok, Angelababy, Kathy Chow and QiQi, as well as supermodel Coco Rocha, who flew in from the US to take to the runway. Each guest brought their own unique flair, showcasing haute couture’s role as a platform for personal expression.

As Hong Kong continues to solidify its position as a global fashion hub, Virtuose was a shining testament to the city’s role in bridging cultures and pushing the boundaries of creative expression. With the success of this event, the HKFDA’s 40th anniversary marks a significant milestone for the entire fashion community in Hong Kong and beyond. It is a powerful reminder that in the hands of masterful designers, couture is more than just clothing—it is a celebration of artistry, craftsmanship and the beauty of human imagination.

As The Henderson continues to attract global investment and multinational corporations, it has become a symbol of Hong Kong’s dual strengths—business and creativity. With Virtuose, the city proved once again that it is not only an economic powerhouse but also a thriving hub for art and innovation. It was the perfect place to celebrate fashion’s future: at the intersection of enterprise and culture.
