Fashion has always been an intrinsic part of Jasmine Sokko, with the singer employing all manner of masks—some sculptural, some resembling visors, some adorned with safety pins—to conceal part of her identity (and let her music speak for itself). Then in 2023, the artist decided to present her full self to the world. “The whole time I’ve been making music, I was always trying to find my sound. I never had a definitive answer,” she says. “But around the time when I unmasked [myself], I found it—and I feel so confident about this new phase.” Masked or not, style remains integral in Sokko’s journey as she works on her first full album and expresses herself with creations by Mugler, Rick Owen and Dion Lee.

The Trainee builds on the popular OffGun pairing, which began inSenior Secret Love: Puppy Honey and has found success in more projects like Theory of Love and Not Me.
Just like their careers, the pair’s style choices are in synch, with both actors leading with emotion.
