CAIRO, July 4 (Xinhua) -- A three-day pottery exhibition opened on Sunday at the Fustat Pottery Village in Cairo, with the aim of promoting traditional Egyptian pottery culture and reviving the local pottery industry.

Located in the Old Cairo district, the Fustat Pottery Village, which comprises 152 workshops, is the country's largest place for traditional Egyptian pottery making.

Egyptians are one of the earliest cultures in the world to create pottery, which still plays an indispensable role in the daily life of modern Egypt.
