Former provincial legislator under probe

BEIJING, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Li Jinzhu, former senior legislator of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, is under probe for suspected severe violations of Party discipline and laws, according to an official statement released Monday.

Li, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Congress, is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision. ■
