Why get all worked up about little things that don't really matter? I mean, we're talking about a toilet brush here. It's just one of those seemingly insignificant things that ends up bothering you so much. Not everyone might understand this kind of fixation, but international design star Philippe Starck can definitely relate.

More than three decades ago, Philippe Starck joined forces with the renowned American furniture brand Heller to introduce the Excalibur toilet brush, epitomising his design ethos: "Design encompasses not just the creation of objects or spaces, but the enhancement of people's lives." Starck once expressed how the Excalibur toilet brush elevated mundane utility into a realm of exquisite design.

Despite being a highly respected figure in the international design community, Philippe Starck doesn't mind designing humble toilet brushes because design itself is a part of life.

Three decades ago, Philippe Starck and Alan Heller joined forces, sharing mutual admiration for each other's work. Together, they unveiled the Excalibur toilet brush, making its debut on the world stage. In captivating promotional photos, they proudly held the toilet brush, their expressions unified, as if poised for an epic battle, wielding a symbolic "sword" in their hands.

The Excalibur toilet brush has the appearance of a sharp sword and is named after King Arthur's legendary sword. Philippe Starck and Alan Heller humorously turned the toilet brush into a royal sword. When everyone starts cleaning the toilet, they can imagine themselves as mediaeval knights, fighting for honour and glory for their home country.

30 years later, Philippe Starck remains at the top of the design world, while Alan Heller passed away in 2021 at the age of 81.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Excalibur, Heller and Starck have introduced a new version in 4 new colours, made from 100% recycled polypropylene. This new edition continues the original Excalibur toilet brush's elegant design, intelligent functionality, practical features, and commitment to environmental sustainability.
