Building of Bangladesh's largest bridge underway, all 40 underwater piers completed

Constructors of Bangladesh's largest Padma Bridge have its 40th underwater pier completed on March 31, after 12 hours of continuous work.

So far, all of the 40 underwater piers have been completed, which laid a solid foundation for the completion of the main bridge, due in 2021.

Despite the COVID-19 outbreak, many Chinese-built major projects in Bangladesh are still underway.
